IPS utiliza condensadores para prolongar el tiempo disponible para transferir datos en la cach\u00e9 DRAM a la memoria flash permanente del SSD. Esto asegura la integridad de los datos en caso de un corte de suministro el\u00e9ctrico. Durante las operaciones normales de la computadora, estos condensadores se cargan para que puedan alimentar el SSD durante una interrupci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica, as\u00ed garantiza completar las operaciones de escritura. Al agregar condensadores, IPS prolonga el tiempo para completar el vaciado de datos acumulados en la memoria cach\u00e9 DRAM hacia la memoria permanente NAND despu\u00e9s de una p\u00e9rdida repentina de suministro el\u00e9ctrico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row  page_article_sec\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12\">\n<h2>\u00bfC\u00f3mo funciona el IPS?<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cada SSD cuenta con un detector de voltaje que monitorea constantemente el nivel de voltaje proveniente del host. Tomemos el SSD452P por ejemplo. En el caso de una p\u00e9rdida repentina de suministro el\u00e9ctrico, el detector de voltaje activa IPS tan pronto como el voltaje cae de 5V a 4V. En esta etapa, IPS asegura que los datos almacenados en NAND permanezcan intactos. Los condensadores incorporados contin\u00faan proporcionando energ\u00eda para que los datos se puedan vaciar desde el DRAM hacia el NAND. Sin IPS, el SSD tiene 2 milisegundos.<\/p>\n<p>Para garantizar la confiabilidad, Transcend pone su tecnolog\u00eda IPS a trav\u00e9s del concentrador de energ\u00eda Ulink DriveMaster para realizar pruebas. Cada ciclo consta de los siguientes pasos:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>El host env\u00eda un comando de escritura al controlador.<\/li>\n<li>El controlador escribe datos en la cach\u00e9 DRAM.<\/li>\n<li>Ulink apaga el host. Cuando el VDT detecta que el voltaje cae a 4 V, los datos se vac\u00edan de la memoria cach\u00e9 DRAM hacia la memoria flash NAND.<\/li>\n<li>Ulink enciende el host y compara los datos en el host con los de la memoria flash NAND. Si hay inconsistencia en los datos, el informe muestra un informe de \u00abcomparaci\u00f3n incorrecta\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>El IPS de Transcend se somete a 3000 ciclos de prueba de este tipo hasta que no se muestran mensajes de error.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row  page_article_sec\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12\">\n<h2>Ventajas del IPS &amp; PS de Transcend<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Transcend ha exclusivamente obtenido el patente para IPS. Para un rendimiento superior, Transcend utiliza componentes superiores como detector de voltaje avanzado para activar el IPS. Adicionalmente, Transcend utiliza condensadores de pol\u00edmero de tantalio \u2013 condensadores de alto rendimiento y perfil bajo que pueden funcionar de manera estable en ambientes hostiles. Aunque es una caracter\u00edstica m\u00e1s b\u00e1sica que no requiere condensadores, el PS tambi\u00e9n permite que el mecanismo de detecci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda interna del SSD monitoree la energ\u00eda suministrada por el host. Cuando el suministro el\u00e9ctrico se pierde repentinamente, el voltaje cae y el detector de voltaje del SSD activa el PS, lo que causa que el controlador del SSD deje de programar los datos en el NAND flash y as\u00ed garantiza que los datos almacenados en NAND no sufran da\u00f1os.
